Kasmart Privacy Policy
Kasmart is a cashier app for small businesses that runs entirely on your phone. No account, no ads, and no analytics services watching you.
Data stored
Everything you enter (your shop name, product list and photos, transaction history, and the QRIS code you scan) is stored only in the app's private storage on your phone. We have no copy of it and cannot access it.
Backups
The Backup feature creates a single file containing your data and saves it wherever you choose (phone storage, Google Drive, or sent via WhatsApp). That file is entirely in your hands; Kasmart does not upload it to our servers.
Separately from that feature, Android itself may back up app data (the database, settings, and product photos) to your Google account, and copy it when you move to a new phone. This backup is run by Android and controlled from your phone's backup settings, not by Kasmart; we cannot open those copies.
Data sent over the internet
The current release sends nothing over the internet: Kasmart does not contact our servers at all. The only way your data leaves your phone is when you share it yourself: saving a backup file to Google Drive, or sending a report file via WhatsApp, email, and the like. You pick the destination through Android's built-in share menu, and the file never passes through our servers.
Kasmart can fetch one small configuration file (announcements and a referral code) from the developer's server over HTTPS, but this feature is not enabled in the current release. If it is enabled later, this page will be updated first; such a request carries no user data either. As with opening any web page, the receiving server still sees standard request information: your IP address and device/browser type (user agent).
Third-party services
- Google Play services Code Scanner: scans QRIS stickers. The camera and image are processed by Google Play services on your phone; Kasmart only receives the scanned text.
- Google Play In-App Review: occasionally offers to rate the app. The dialog is handled by Google Play under Google's privacy policy.
Permissions
Kasmart only requests the INTERNET permission (used by Google Play services and
reserved for the configuration file above). No camera, location, contacts, or storage permissions;
picking files and photos uses Android's built-in pickers.
Your rights
Because all data lives on your phone, you can delete it at any time via Android Settings → Apps → Kasmart → Clear storage, or by uninstalling the app. There is nothing for us to delete from a server, because we don't store it.
Children
Kasmart is made for business owners, not for children under 18.
Changes
If this policy changes, the latest version is posted on this page together with its effective date.
